Rabat – Morocco is the favorite destination of French travelers, according to renowned French tour organizers “Voyage Prive.”
The accolade was based on data obtained since Voyage Prive’s founding in 2006, which shows Morocco consistently ranking as a top destination.
Morocco’s National Tourism Office (ONMT) has also been engaged in an extensive media partnership with Voyage Prive for the last decade.
In recent years, Morocco’s tourist sector has seen the results of this collaborative effort.
Morocco welcomed over 3.7 million French tourists by the end of September 2023, marking a remarkable 38% increase compared to the same period in 2022 and a 12% rise compared to the benchmark year of 2019, before the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Voyage Prive was the brainchild of tourism professionals and e-tourism enthusiasts in 2006, offering travel trips and recreational activities with discounts to over 40 million active users.
Morocco’s tourism sector has been growing significantly. According to the Tourism observatory, approximately 6.5 million tourists have visited the country so far in 2023, surpassing the figure of last year.
The country offers a diverse collection of historic monuments and ancient medinas in various cities for tourists to explore, as well as modern accommodation options..
Moroccan based hotels also made a mark in the travel and tourism industry with 11 gaining nominations in the 2023 Annual Travel Awards.
